AI agents: what they are and what they do
Chatbots, automations and agents are often confused. The difference matters when you decide what to build.
Chatbot
Answers questions in a conversation. What you do with the answer is up to you.
Automation
Moves data from one system to another by a fixed rule. It works well as long as the data always looks the same.
AI agent
Reads the content, an email or a PDF for example, decides by your rules and takes the next step. Cases that don't fit the rules go to a person.

What else it does every day
Answers in chat, on your phone too
You type or dictate the question. Askera finds the right report, runs it and gives you the full table with a summary on top. If it has no report for what you asked, it tells you so and shows you the closest ones.
Dashboards by department
Management, finance, sales, logistics and inventory. Each person sees only the reports the administrator gives them. You filter in words, for example “last month only, no cancelled orders”, and export to Excel or Word.
Forecasts calculated overnight
The forecasting models run on your ERP history: receipts, payments, transport demand, late-payment risk and margin anomalies. The same input data gives the same result, so you can check them.
Reports that go out on their own
You schedule a report daily, weekly or monthly, and it arrives by email at the set time, with the data attached as CSV or Word. The numbers are the same as in the app.
Why AI on top of your ERP, and why we built it this way
The data your management needs is already in the ERP. The AI saves you the trip to get it, and the rules below keep the numbers correct.

The ERP is only read
Askera connects with an account that can only read. On top of that, every query goes through a check that lets only reads through. A command that would write, change or delete data is stopped before it reaches the database.

The database calculates, the AI explains
Totals and rankings come from queries run over the full dataset. The AI model picks the right report and writes the explanation next to the numbers. Chat runs on a fast model; training, when Askera learns the structure of your ERP, runs on a more capable one.

A person approves what the AI proposes
During training, the AI proposes reports, glossary terms and rules. Each proposal waits for approval from someone in your company and only then starts appearing in answers.
Why you can put these numbers in front of the board
Before you pass a number on, you want to know what it rests on and who else had access to it.
Filters stay in plain sight
Along with the table you see the period and the filters Askera applied. If they aren't the ones you wanted, you change them and run the report again.
Everyone sees only their own
Access is granted by department and by report. Someone in logistics doesn't see the financial reports unless the administrator gives them access.
You know who ran what
Sign-in has two steps, and the log shows who ran each report and when.
Group companies stay separate
Separation between companies in the same group is enforced in the database itself, so a report run for one company sees only that company's data.

Why we built Askera
We have been implementing ERP systems for more than twenty years. At almost every client, someone in management asked us for a report the software didn't have. The data was there, in the database, but getting to it meant going through a person who knew SQL and had the time. That person almost always had something else to do.
Askera AI shortens the path. It learns how the company's data is organised and answers questions asked in plain language.
The rules above come from what we saw at clients: a financial report that is wrong but convincing does more harm than having no report at all.

Which ERP does it work with?
Any ERP that keeps its data in a relational database: PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server. Askera reads the database directly, read-only. If your system is different, we build the integration for you.
What data reaches the AI model?
The question, the report structure and the aggregated results needed for the answer. The database stays with you. For presentations there is a demo mode that masks partner names and scales the values.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
The numbers come from queries on the database. The AI can still pick the wrong report or filter, so you always see the table and the filters applied, and new reports go through a person's approval.
Do we need to change anything in our ERP?
No. We need an account that can only read from the database. We don't install anything in the ERP and we don't change any data.
How much does it cost?

Does it work on a phone?
